Our Sixth Annual LifeSavers Luncheon and Fashion Show was a smashing success! Our theme was "Stepping Out", and that is just what we did! Everyone enjoyed shopping at the Shoe and Bag Bazaar, which was followed by a delicious lunch and excellent program. At this time, it looks as if we met our financial goals due to proceeds from the luncheon and a very generous donation from Andy and Joan Horner.
Of course, an event of this size takes a great deal of work and planning. Special thanks go to Mari Middleton (our newest board member) who handled the Raffle, to Judy Adams and Brenda Gammill who managed the Bag and Shoe Bazaar, to Maxine Dudley and Barbara Boren for the fabulous centerpieces, for Charm Barrett and Alice McKinnon Newland for the outstanding fashion show, and for Ripple Terrell and Alice Christian for seating arrangements. Also a special thanks goes to Phomas Ewell, Director of Operations, and our newest store manager in Irving, Will Esker, for their numerous trips from the Resale Store to the Belo Mansion. Also, thanks to every board member, who so generously gave of their time, energy and resources. Holly Collie's story of her journey from being an abortion minded woman to a pro-life mom of 13 was a powerful message. Truly, we are all "partners in the gospel." |
